First time in Cabo and the hotel completely disappointed. The beds were really small and rooms outdated. We upgraded to premium since the better rooms were sold out but it antes to get better service and payed more. However it was a waste of money since it didn’t help at all. Room service took over 2 hrs to arrive and half of the food was missing. We order blankets for our kids and never received them. When I talk to the manager he said he couldn’t just change my bracelets and refund the remaining 1 day and half left. So he was completely useless. So many people complaining at the lobby when we checked in. Now we now why. Some of the staff at the restaurants and pool area were very nice also the girls at kids club were super friendly and nice. But you can tell the hotel was short staffed. Definitely never saying there at all and do not recommend it.

I do not understand how this property gets 5 star reviews. We reserved a Junior Suite Beach front premium level room. The room had a nice view, but the room itself had a lot to be desired. Wanted a king size bed, ended up with 2 queens. Room was dated and not particularly nice for a Jr. Suite. The beds literally had a sheet, a thin blanket and another top sheet for the bedding. No extra blankets in the room. Very basic in decor. The mini bar literally had two waters, 4 beers, 2 bags of nuts and one bag of potato chips in it. That was the extent of the free mini bar. The best part about the Premium level, was the separate pool area in front of the beach. Away from the other noisy pool area, no kids, and a separate bar (although no waiter/waitress service at your chairs). Paying extra for the Premium level may not really be worth the extra $. The lounge is nothing special. Mediocre snacks...same as they have at the buffets. The least impressive part of my stay there was the food. Never had a good meal at any of the buffets or specialty restaurants. The food was overall very bad. Pretty much the same food options everyday. Food was flavorless, sometimes very salty and hot food seemed to be cold. We ended up taking Ubers and eating outside the property. We had several excellent meals in town! The hotel property is nice, but the food was awful. Would choose to stay somewhere else on my next visit.

The hotel is really pretty. The staff is very nice however, more is needed. The draining system needs updated, the shower will run over. The operation hours of the restaurants are horrible. The Starbucks you pay for and the selection is a 0. You're lucky to get a cinnamon roll. No, grab and go food when you have an early excursion. I would only come back if it was free.

I’d realistically give this place 3.5 stars. It is a nice hotel on the beach with decent, clean rooms, nice pools and friendly staff. We got our premium level room at this all inclusive for cheaper than most comparable non-AI hotels. The real issue was the food. Breakfast buffet is decent, lots of fruit, omelette station, etc. The rest of the food ranged from well below average to inedible. Restaurant reservations are a huge pain to get. Dinner buffet ran out of food twice while we were there. I would stay here again but I’d assume we are going out for dinner each night, it’s just a terrible experience eating dinner here.

Sharing the view you will get to enjoy while here, nearly 3 hours and still sat in reception trying to check-in and get a room after a disaster of a room mix-up. If you do not arrive here during office hours (which is unlikely as they leave at mid-day on Saturday and check-in is 3pm) then management have zero desire to try and accommodate and help you out, we had 2 major issues: 1) We made an issue in our booking and somehow only selected 1 adult (my fault I accept it completely) on check-in we were told our only option was to pay an extra $180 a night, this was the opposite to what Barcelo said directly to us and also we could book a new room for less. We were told both alternative options were only possible if we spoke to reservations who wouldn't be back at the hotel for 2 days. The net result we ended up paying over $500 a night for our room. 2) When we got to our room it was 2 queens, we have reserved a premium king room, when we returned to reception we were told bed type can't be guaranteed and this was our only option. Something I would have expected to be made aware of before spending $500 a night on a room. No resolution was offered and we had already paid the extra so were stuck in a dated small room. 3) The following day we spoke to a new manager and got a new king bed room assigned, however they kept cutting the power to it. We lost power to the room 3 times, we were told it was an issue with the reservation and system. The worse occurrence of this was for 4 hours with no fan or AC in the morning before we could get hold of reception to get it turned back on. While one of these issues was of our making the hotel showed no signs of customer care or focus, this was present across reception staff, managers and kitchen staff. The one stand out member was the premium barman Ivan who was always smiling and happy to help. I would strongly encourage you to look at other options, we can have stayed at Dreams for far less, but many more comparable properties for the same price.

Due to a last minute travel screw-up, I stayed at this all-inclusive resort. If you're looking for a short visit with no super excitement frills, this is the place. I was very pleasantly surprised on the laid-back attitude and a great service at this resort. I will admit that I bumped my reservation up to the premium level to enjoy the higher level of alcohol. Even though they say they are a family friendly resort, when I stayed there were barely any kids and enjoyed the Starbucks on the premise as well as the other restaurants. Excellent and friendly staff

The room was exactly what we asked for and was very clean , the bed was comfortable. The staff at this resort was so friendly and helpful in every aspect. The gal who cleaned our room always made sure we had extra coffee and water and checked with us everyday if we needed anything. The food was good, of course some nights were better than others but there was a great variety at every meal. Every night there was entertainment in the main lounge, and the sky bar is amazing to watch watch the sunset from. I would recommend this resort for a wonderful place to stay. This was our second time at this resort and both times were great.

Where do I start! DISCLAIMER: This was my experience. I stayed there 11/8/21 - 11/9/21 only 1 night. Let's start with check in: we arrived early so our room wasn't available until check in time which was 3pm understood because we were early. We booked the room through Expedia and they quoted a price of 268.00 with taxes and fees which isn't bad for an all inclusive place. So we chose to pay at the property when we got there they told us it will be an extra 138.00 for an extra person reluctantly we agreed with the price. 3pm came and the room wasn't ready, 3:30pm room not ready, 4pm room not ready, 4:30pm room not ready. Now at this point we were told this situation was" escalated to management " . No manager spoke with us and finally at 5:11pm our room was ready. We immediately asked to speak to a manager because this was ridiculous! Management kept apologizing but didn't want to make us whole. Yes they were short staffed but communicate with your guests so they won't be in the dark about their room. He did finally and reluctantly agree to "upgrade" us to "Premium " ha what a joke. Now let's talk about the room.... um... can you say motel!!!!! Horrible, outdated, the sink dripped constantly and there was NOTHING in this Resort that screams 5 star. DO NOT STAY HERE. Spend your hard earned money where there is better customer service. Lastly our room ended up being the 268.00 as quoted.

Definitely not a 5 star. Looks good from outside but rooms are pretty much motel like. It felt dated. The bathroom vent made a whistling sound. The AC was loud. The mattress was uncomfortable. We had a brief meal at the Mexican restaurant which was fine. The ambience at the bar was nice.

Barcelo Gran Faro was wonderful! Every employee I met introduced themselves and offered assistance. The pools were beautiful. You should make reservations for the specialty restaurants as soon as you arrive or before you arrive to ensure you can get in! All the food was fresh and delicious. The towels were a little rough but otherwise, our stay was wonderful! My fiance and I will be married there in April of 2022!

Excelente! Eu tive uma estadia de 3 noites na semana passada, para o aniversário da minha mãe, em um quarto deluxe e posso dizer que o serviço foi ótimo! Desde a atenção no Balcão Vip (obrigado Roberto), até a despedida com o carregador (obrigado Félix). Eles ofereceram dois pequenos bolos de aniversário para minha mãe. Tive três jantares especiais durante a estadia, todos os três muito saborosos (japonês, mexicano e italiano) O buffet de pequeno-almoço e almoço é um pouco limitado em variedade mas é compreendido pela pandemia mas aprecia-se pratos marinhos, como os ceviches e a sopa de marisco (graças a Geovanny, Fernando, etc. por serem os nossos anfitriões). As instalações estão sempre limpas, sim, o serviço de bebidas na piscina e na praia um pouco lento considerando a baixa concentração que havia no hotel. Todas as medidas de saúde e distância segura foram tomadas. Os quartos são bons. Um pouco velho, mas eles são constantemente mantidos. A localização do hotel é ideal e possuem um estacionamento de bom tamanho para os hóspedes com carro. No geral eu adorei e é claro que eu voltaria! Me convide logo! @makarenafiumi

Excelente! Tuve un estancia de 3 noches la semana pasada, por el cumple de mi mamá, en habitación deluxe y puedo decir que el servicio estuvo genial! Desde la atención en el Desk Vip (gracias Roberto), hasta despedida con el botones (gracias Félix). Le presentaron dos pequeños pasteles de cumpleaños a mi mamá. Tuve tres cenas de especialidad durante la estancia, las tres muy ricas (japonesa, mexicana e italiana) El buffet de desayuno y comida un poco limitados en cuando a variedad pero se entiende por la pandemia pero si que se agradecen platillos marinos, como los ceviches y la sopa de mariscos (gracias a Geovanny, Fernando, etc por ser nuestros anfitriones). Las instalaciones siempre limpias, eso sí, el servicio de bebidas en la piscina y la playa un poco lenta considerando la baja concentración que estaba en el hotel. Todas las medidas de sanidad y sana distancia fueron tomadas. Las habitaciones son bonitas. Poquito viejas pero les dan mantenimiento constantes. La ubicación del hotel es ideal y cuentan con un estacionamiento de buen tamaño para el huésped con auto. En general me encantó y claro que regresaría! Invitenme pronto! @makarenafiumi

Achei o hotel excelente. As medidas de saúde que o hotel toma são robustas. O serviço prestado e a atenção dispensada pelos funcionários do hotel são maravilhosos. Ele atendeu a cada uma de nossas necessidades e expectativas. A comida nos restaurantes não é boa, mas eles têm variedade e o sabor é rico.Para quem ama o calor, em dezembro vai exigir um moletom fino por ser arejado e frio, por isso as manhãs e as noites são frescas. Mas nada que não possa ser consertado com um moletom fino ou ficar na cama ao meio-dia.As instalações são aceitáveis e vê-se que cuidam e mantêm todas as suas áreas.Concluindo, férias agradáveis de que terei muito gosto.

Este hotel com tudo incluído tem algumas ótimas promoções no momento. A comida tem sido boa com o hotel servindo buffet de café da manhã, almoço e jantar. Eles também têm um Sushi, autêntico hotel mexicano e italiano específico. O bar da piscina é ótimo e tem comida de bar. As bebidas preparadas são ótimas e você encontrará habilidades profissionais. O pessoal da recepção é útil.

O hotel fica a cerca de 30 minutos de carro do aeroporto. Você pode combinar uma carona com antecedência com o hotel ou pegar um táxi no aeroporto. O táxi custa cerca de $ 50. Não havia carros para o Uber no aeroporto, mas é uma ótima maneira de chegar do hotel ao aeroporto na partida.O hotel era bonito e aberto. O processo de check-in não foi tão ruim e as chaves da pulseira são super convenientes. Existem três piscinas com a maior tendo um bar aquático. A piscina infinita é ótima para assistir o pôr do sol e só para adultos!O quarto era espaçoso e tinha um mini-bar bem abastecido. O banheiro era super grande e tinha um bom chuveiro com efeito de chuva. As camas eram macias, mas os quartos duplos têm camas de casal em vez de queen. Caso contrário, o quarto era muito limpo e higienizado.O almoço e o buffet de pequeno-almoço eram muito bons. Para o almoço, eles comeram um prato de frutos do mar e espetos junto com comida tradicional americana também. O café da manhã inclui uma estação de omelete, bem como muitas frutas frescas, waffles e bacon.O buffet de jantar estava em um local diferente e tinha mais algumas opções. A estação de pizza é ótima para as crianças. Descobri que o buffet de almoço tem mais variedade e sobremesas melhoresOs jantares especiais exigem reserva, mas há apenas um por noite e a reserva é rápida. Não consegui fazer uma reserva, mas ouvi dizer que a comida era boa e que estar na torre foi uma experiência agradável.O hotel está rodeado por um bando de pequenos restaurantes e bares interessantes. Era muito seguro andar por aí e a maioria dos lugares levava dólares ou cartão de crédito!O hotel era muito limpo e tinha muitas estações de desinfetante para as mãos. A maioria das pessoas usava máscaras ao caminhar. Eles também mediram sua temperatura antes de entrar em qualquer uma das salas de jantar.

El hotel me pareció excelente. Las medidas de salud que toma el hotel son robustas. El servicio brindado y la atención ofrecida por el personal del hotel maravilloso. Cubrió cada una de nuestras necesidades y expectativas. La comida en los restaurantes, no es la gran maravilla, pero si tienen variedad y el sabor es rico.Para aquellos amantes del calor, en diciembre van a requerir una sudadera delgada ya que hace mucho aire y es frió, debido a eso las mañanas y las noches son frescas. Pero nada que con una sudadera delgada o estar en el camastro a medio día no se pueda arreglar.Las instalaciones son aceptables y se ve que cuidan y dan mantenimiento a todas sus áreas.En conclusión, agradables vacaciones que voy a recordar felizmente.

The hotel is approximately a 30-minute drive from the airport. You can arrange a ride prior with the hotel or get a taxi at the airport. The taxi will run you around $50. There were no cars for Uber from the airport but it is a great way to get to the airport from the hotel upon departure.The hotel was beautiful and open. The check-in process wasn’t too bad and the wristband keys are super convenient. There are three pools with the larger one having a swim up bar. The infinity pool is great for watching the sunset and is adult only!The room was spacious and had a well-stocked mini bar. The bathroom was super big and had a nice rain shower head. The beds were soft but the twin rooms have full size beds instead of queen. Otherwise, the room was very clean and sanitized.The lunch and breakfast buffet were very good. For lunch they had a seafood dish and skewers along with traditional American food as well. Breakfast included an omelet station as well as many fresh fruits, waffles and bacon.The dinner buffet was in a different location and had a few more options. The pizza station is great for kids. I found the lunch buffet to have more variety and better desertsThe specialty dinners require a reservation but there is only one per night and it books up fast. I was unable to get a reservation but I heard the food was good and being up in the tower was a nice experience.The hotel is surrounded by a bunch cool little restaurants and bars. It was very safe to walk around and most places took dollars or credit card!The hotel was very clean and had many hand-sanitizer stations. Most people wore masks when walking around. They also took your temperature before entering any of the dining rooms.

This all inclusive hotel has some great deals for the moment. The food has been good with the hotel serving buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have a Sushi, authentic Mexican and Italian specific hotel. The pool bar is great and has bar food. The drinks made are great and you will find professional skills. The reception folks are helpful.

Es temporada de covid y está algo limitado el servicio poco personal, no hay valet parking , la comida es buena pero tienen muy pocas opciones sugiero más variedad , después de las 10 ya no hay nada de snack pase una mala noche por no encontrar algún alimento por muy sencillo que fuera.En recepción aclare que no quería limpieza de mi cuarto por tema de objetos personales y aún así me la hicieron diarioFuera de eso tiene todo lo que ofrece un todo incluido

We love the Gran Faro! Obviously, we're in a pandemic. The hotel is doing an EXCELLENT job of making their guests feel welcome even while they've had to significantly cut staff. Go for relaxation and great drinks. Tip your wait staff. Enjoy the beautiful weather and don't stress.

Today is our last day here. We were Premium members and the service, cleanliness, and attentiveness of the staff was impeccable. If you are a Premium Member I highly suggest using the Premium Bar outside. Ivan H. Is the best bartender / service I've ever had. His attentiveness and conversation is so welcoming and he always makes sure you have a drink or water in your hand.

We spent just 4 days at Barcelo and it was really fun. All people were so friendly and welcoming. We were hanging mostly in the premium area and the bartender Ivan was going above and beyond to satisfy our needs. Also Luis from vip reception made sure that we stayed happy. Overall experience was perfect. Thank you guys for the great time.
