“BEWARE OF THEFT. I wanted to like this hotel. The suite we had was very comfortable and the service was fast and reliable. However, a special gold ring of mine was stolen by housekeeping, and while I understand these incidents do happen especially in LA these days, it’s how the hotel responded to it that upset me deeply. My ring went missing during the time housekeeping was in our room. The hotel management ran a thorough investigation on who went in and out and interviewed all the housekeeping staff. What upset me was the hotel’s response - they wrote me a long email stating that unfortunately none of their staff took the ring and that I should look harder in the room before I check out. This implied that it was my fault, that somehow I misplaced or lost the ring, which I know wasn’t the case since I left the ring in the room right before heading out that morning. Instead of simply concluding that none of their staff admitted to it, they seemed to suggest that the ring was lost due to my carelessness, which was extremely upsetting after I had just lost a $3k ring. Lastly, they didn’t offer any sort of compensation for my loss.”

“Rooms are nice, but we’re into day 3 of having no hot water. They made us aware of their plumbing issues, and have said the hot water will return by 5pm, but this hasn’t happened the last 2 nights. I checked through the evenings up to 9pm, leaving the shower run for a few minutes each time to make sure, but no hot water.”
