HOSPITALITY is everything!
This is what we felt in Amistel Hotel. Very friendly and willing staff, from the receptionist to the cleaning ladies, everyone has an honest smile and the will to make the customer happy.
We left our room very late every day and the cleaning staff always had the room cleaned and asked us about everything we need. The hotel was very clean overall.
The receptionists provided us with all the info we asked, they were discreet, provided us with umbrella over a rainy day etc.
This is what matters, to feel like home. Then you don't care if the bathroom has a small damage, if the hotel is not brand new or if the building next door is noisy in the morning due to constructions, although the sound proof was really good at the hotel so we almost heard nothing. you don't care if the pool on the roof is small and not Olympic size. You feel welcome and you feel well treated.
We had a special offer, so overall the value for money for our stay was excellent. The hotel may not be brand new but it is well preserved with very good furniture and amazing bed mattresses and pillows.
The metro may not be so close, not outside your door but a 5-7 min walk, but several buses run very close to the hotel and were just fine for our movement in Barcelona town.

“The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Very service minded and helped out with all our questions.
Building is fresh and clean. Breakfast was very good, much to select from the buffe. The hotel is located a couple of km from Las Ramblas and downtown so it's quite a bit to walk when it's very hot.
During our stay it was above 30 degress each day and there was energy saving demands from government so air conditioning was not so good as expected. There was a smell also from time to time, probably from the air conditioning but that was not a big issue.”
